Hosts for The Rape of the Sabine Women, by Grace B. Matthias

Our community is incredibly generous. At times, Local Theater Company brings playwrights and actors to Boulder from all across the country, and we house them during their stay in our beautiful city. If you would be interested in providing housing for an artist, please contact Alison Palmer Bourke at

Ushers for The Rape of the Sabine Women, by Grace B. Matthias

Local Theater Company is currently seeking volunteer ushers for the first show of our 2017/18 season, produced at the Dairy Arts Center in Boulder, CO, from October 27-November 19, 2017.

Volunteers are asked to be present at the Dairy one-hour prior to curtain, and 30 minutes after the performance, to help patrons to and from their seats, greet patrons in the lobby, and answer any questions. Volunteers are welcome (encouraged, actually!) to watch the performance. To volunteer, contact Alison Palmer Bourke at

Volunteers at the Boulder County Farmer’s Market

Local Theater Company is working to bring new-to-theater audiences to our performance of …Sabine Women. We’re at the Boulder County Farmer’s Market on Saturday mornings during our run (October 21 and 28, November 4, 11 and 18). We have two shifts (7:45-11am and 11am-2pm) and are seeking volunteers to simply talk about Local, and hand out cards to promote the show. It’s super fun! And sometimes, we have goats in our booth to cuddle as well. To sign up, email Alison Palmer at or simply reply to this email.

We have a wonderful opportunity for a college student interested in learning more about producing theater. The internship requires two half-days per week in our office in Boulder, plus events, performances, and community outreach support as available. Click here for details.
